Chris Shaw imports a raw multitrack transfer and rebuilds it into his template in real time. Select a track, hold shift, hit one Stream Deck button, and Soundflow applies the track preset, loads the plugins, sets the output and colour, creates a folder inside the right group, moves the track in and deletes the folder behind it. Drums, bass, guitars, vocals, the whole session, one food group at a time.

Along the way he covers the tricks that make a big session navigable: the marker separator trick he stole from a 250 track Carlos Santana session, percent signs on VCA names so they jump out on a control surface, and loading DSP hungry UAD plugins at the top of the session so they grab the chips first.

He also demos the free Track Data Utilities package he built for the Soundflow store: Duo Mono to Stereo for turning overhead and room pairs into proper stereo tracks, copy and paste track data to clone an entire vocal chain onto doubles and stacks, clear inserts and sends to blow out another engineer's work in one hit, and a script that cycles through plugins and sends one at a time. Plus a smarter alternative to Strip Silence that cuts dead air and guarantees crossfades on both sides, a spill sends at mouse command that stacks every send where your cursor is, one click playlist moves for reference mixes and print tracks, and automatic marker renumbering.
