As a world-renowned DJ in the House Music Scene, Fred Everything has gained notoriety for his diverse DJ sets where he navigates a variety of genres from House to Techno, and Drum and Bass to Ambient.
In this 80-minute pureMix exclusive video, Fred Everything shows you how he mixes in a creative flow, in a live, real-time mixing session, using his template on the song “Believe” by Kathy Diamond. After mixing portions of the song uninterrupted, Fred explains how he:
Organizes his mixes in Logic Pro X for quick navigation
Manages his gain structure from the start
Mixes elements in the context of the rest of the track, rather than in solo
Adds rhythm to percussion tracks and depth and space to synthesizers
As well as how he masters his tracks to fitinto his DJ sets
Once you have seen Fred mix in a creative flow, download the stems and apply Fred’s techniques on your system at home.

Excellent mixing on the fly. Love to see the work in progress. I can understand what you are listening to and where your attention goes step by step.
That's really inspiring, and I can see how you don't loose too much time in minimal details. The details come after.

I agree Tamko, it's really more helpful when the mentors explain what it does WHEN he does it! In this case you really feel the essence, the concept and the explanation.
That's why i have problem with the Chris Lord Alge video, first of all with the analogic console you can't see what it does, but also the explanation come after the action. Not Good.
The Fab pedagogy is the real one

Really enjoyed this mix tutorial, I like how the tracks were already produced well and Fred showed super subtle enhancements. Great job pureMix!

In general this video is good and interesting, but to my personal opinion it's not a very good idea to put so long parts with "mixing" on a fly, even though you explain them later. We have seen this "on a fly mixing" idea at the beginning of the video, I think that it was enough. It's much more useful when teachers explain every step and their feelings at the right moment, during the process.
Thank you for your huge work anyway.
