Outstanding! I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Thank you Matt for giving us a window into your process. Interesting blend of analog and digital, old and new. You are clearly a master of the tools and craft. I learned a bunch. Thank you Eli for sharing your artistic journey with these songs. You have Killer vocals! I will be checking out your other material.

@jsdehlers the 2 mix is the mix bus. 2 mix is the term that a lot of old school mixers use. I'm assuming it has something to do with the way it's routed on the console, but don't hold me to that.

He's putting a gel that absorbs and deadens the vibrations... think of moongel, or a bandana, or tape or anything that steals some of the snare heads immediate vibrations which will deaden the sound.... sound is just vibration... absorb some, you kill some of the sound, just like putting up baffles or anything else that you want to stop a sound from doing something undesirable

This whole series was just awesome. The artists are absolutely amazing and authentic and Matt manages to create and capture that 60-ties flair perfectly. Watching his way to listen to stuff an approach things was very helpful and inspiring. Really appreciate the time he took to explain his thinking and usage of tools to the puremix audience.
