I watch this an innumerable amount of times,… This is the first time his explanation of routing and buses and sends made sense!

This is great , watched a few times , took notes, currently mixing with the template, one issue I'm having is, when my sends to the rear buss are post fader, they don't hit it hard enough, for ex: I'm getting healthy audio levels from my guitars , but since they are turned down to -8, -6, -12, guitar solo turned down to -27, and again , although the faders are turned down, the audio signal I'm getting is just right.
But since post fader sends react to the actual numeric value that the volume faders are set to, I get just a teensy bit of audio signal from my sends, not enough to hit the rear buss hard enough for compressor to react at all. even when I max out the sends, still not enough, tried turning the input of the compressor up as well, but that doesn't work because it causes me to have to turn the track volumes sent to the rear buss down , which leaves me where I started.
realized: I think what I can do is route all instruments going to the rear buss to an aux, and that auxes fader will be at 0 so it should respond correctly
I understand why Scheps doesn't use pre fader sends, because then he's getting a copy of his unaffected audio sent to rear buss right? So I def don't want to do that, any insights are welcome thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure Andy is wrong about his Lead Vocal Pultec bus.
Putting the frequency knob of the Waves LA-2A at 100.0 actually makes the detector circuit flat.
I like his mixing but this example and other things he says that are not very convincing also makes me believe he is not quite as in control as he claims and speaks some amount of baloney.

This is a wonderful gift, exactly what I needed to push my music into the final stages.
I also bought the Brauerize ITB video, and while I love Brauer's passion for the art of mixing, his plugin list is too expensive for me at this time. I also noticed quite a few plugins in his template missing from the official list, which makes it even more daunting (and expensive), so I decided to work with Andrew's template.
Andrew has a wonderful clarity to his thoughts, and that alone makes it worth the price. I am so excited to dive into this template and try to make it work with my music.

Is there any templates with audio files, so I can get an idea of the routing? It looks like logic is looking for some, and it says they are supposed to be downloaded via Dropbox? I am just having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around the routing. Thank you.

Another vote for an update to this, as 5 years in analogue time is like 35 digital ;-) and things do change in Protools every so often. It could just be an addendum covering changes referencing this video. Love Andrew's teaching style.
