A performance space in Brooklyn, a truck of Apollo interfaces, and a few hours before eighteen string players walk in. Fab throws out the obvious plan — the orchestra goes on the floor, not the stage, for the reverb and for the camera angles — and builds the room from there. Inside: the Flux tree going up with a tape measure, Schoeps across the sections and M49s on the basses the way Al Schmitt did it, an 18-input list laid out across three Apollos and a 4-710 so the numbering survives a fast day, a split on Yvette's guitar that captures a clean DI before the pedalboard and stereo after it, and the cue system that lets the orchestra hear her without a note of guitar reaching the string mics. Plus the conversation with conductor Peter Askim that changed the record: the click gets cut.
