The orchestra arrives and the plan meets reality. Fab works the room section by section, listening to long tones, moving stands, opening up the spacing, and adding microphones where the paper plan came up short — a second mic for the soloist, extra cellos once he hears them vanish under the violins. Then the first full run without guitar, and the problem nobody saw coming: the sound of Yvette's boot hitting her pedalboard switches, printing into eighteen open string mics. The fix gets worked out live, on the floor, in front of the orchestra — and it reshapes how the guitar gets recorded for the rest of the day.
